Volunteer to Support Kindergarten Students in Reading

We are seeking parents/caregivers of Vernon students at all grade levels to volunteer to work with our Kindergarten and 1st Grade students in literacy. No experience or expertise is needed. Volunteers will work one-on-one with our youngest Owls for brief 10-15 minute sessions on skills like matching letters and sounds and forming letters correctly in writing.

There will be a 75-minute volunteer training at Vernon on January 17 or January 18.

We ask that volunteers commit to one or more recurring weekly thirty-minute time slots and continue volunteering in those time slots at least from late January through late March.
